THE ARCHBISOPS APPEAL
For Shared Ministries
ANNUAL ARCHBISHOP'S APPEAL MISSION
A ministry of the Archdiocese of San Antonio Catholic community, the Annual Archbishop’s Appeal is a living manifestation of the Word of God serving our brothers and sisters in Christ. Its mission is to identify, develop, and acquire the financial resources to support Archdiocesan ministries dedicated in serving and forming missionary disciples of Jesus Christ for the promise of eternal life.
PURPOSE
In order to build a strong faith community, promote a culture of giving, and provide for the needs of the people of God in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the clergy and lay leadership in all the parishes will seek to introduce and nurture Christian stewardship as a way of life and a means of living out our discipleship of Jesus Christ. The Annual Appeal provides the material, educational, and spiritual needs of God’s people across the 19 counties of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. With the support of the Office of Appeal and Grants, parishes will seek to achieve their annual Appeal parish goal through a sincere conversion of mind and heart, followed by a faith-filled response in word and deed. This kind of lifestyle requires an understanding and commitment which begins with solid stewardship education.
